One question we are asked a lot is how much is a narrowboat. The answer to that is very much dependent upon specification, however to give you a guide, please budget a figure of over £230,000 which would include VAT for a basic fit out of a fully solar electric 57’ narrowboat with reclaimed timber finishings. However, as specification varies from customer to customer this figure may fluctuate.

For potential customers who are practical we offer a ‘sailaway plus’ version for around £150,000 including VAT. This includes the following: full paint job, finished electrical fit out (solar panels, battery, motor, generator, control systems, all domestic wiring), hot and cold water systems, highly finished internal lining, shower, toilet, stove and plumbing ready to accept sinks.

Call Outs: Our standard rate is £45.00 per hour plus VAT for a carpenter and £55.00 per hour plus VAT for an engineer. Travel will be charged at 52 pence per mile. Travel time for staff will be charged at half the standard rate.
