Serious solar

Solar benchmark

Mothership Marine is serious about solar panels. We believe our panels and importantly how they are fixed is the bench mark in the the inland waterways.

A very positive attitude to solar panels

We aim to generate the majority of the power we need from solar so they better be good. What makes all the difference it the fact that the whole of the top of the boat finishes flush and there are no exposed wires.

The flush finish is created by making a GRP infill panel, we do this in the same colour as the other paint work. It means less maintenance too.

And no problem walking on the solar panels in deck shoes or trainers.

Modern semi-flexible solar panels are a relatively new innovation that have revolutionised the way we think about solar power. These panels are made using lightweight and durable materials that allow them to be bent and shaped to fit a variety of surfaces, making them ideal for use on boats and other mobile applications.

The technology behind semi-flexible solar panels is based on the same principles as traditional solar panels. They are made up of photovoltaic cells that convert sunlight into electrical energy, which can be used to power a variety of devices.

One of the key advantages of semi-flexible solar panels is their flexibility. Unlike traditional solar panels, which are rigid and can only be mounted on flat surfaces, semi-flexible panels can be bent and shaped to fit a variety of contours and surfaces. This makes them ideal for use on curved surfaces, such as a boat.

Lightwight

Another advantage of semi-flexible solar panels is their lightweight design. They are made using thin, lightweight materials that are both durable and easy to transport. This makes them ideal for use in mobile applications, where weight and portability are important factors.

Efficient

In addition to their flexibility and lightweight design, semi-flexible solar panels are also highly efficient. They are able to convert a high percentage of the sunlight they receive into electrical energy, making them an excellent choice for powering a variety of devices.

Overall, modern semi-flexible solar panels are an innovative and versatile technology that is changing the way we think about solar power. Their flexibility, lightweight design, and high efficiency make them an ideal choice for a variety of applications, from powering a boat to providing clean, renewable energy for homes and businesses. As technology continues to advance, it is likely that we will see even more innovative uses for semi-flexible solar panels in the future.
